"My husband and I knew from the very start that we wanted to be parents, and like most people in our shoes, we were shocked and devastated to learn that infertility would play a role in our journey to parenthood. Upon learning this, we quickly jumped into treatment with nothing but optimism. Surely this wouldn't take long, we were young and healthy! We battled through 2 years at another clinic, being unsuccessful at IUI and IVF, enduring 6 surgeries, and suffering devastating losses to come out with no baby. We were told I couldn't have kids that were genetically mine and we were led to donor eggs, we bought 2 batches, which also didn't work. They couldn't figure out what was going on and had no plan forward. At that point, we decided a fresh set of eyes on our case was exactly what we needed.
We came to RBA in September of 2019 feeling completely broken and desperately trying to cling to some hope. It was quite literally our last-ditch effort. When we left our first consultation with Dr. Shapiro, we felt confident that if this was ever going to work, he and RBA were our absolute best shot. We began our IVF journey again and eventually transferred our one normal embryo with equal parts hope and terror. Unbelievably, after 2 failed transfers and a miscarriage with genetically normal embryos at the other clinic, that little fighter stuck! Our rainbow baby, Logan, is now 3.5 years old and is the most amazing little boy I've ever known. We came back to RBA in the spring of 2021 wondering if lightning could strike twice - and we're truly shocked it did. We had one normal embryo again, and I was terrified. Our daughter Kendall is 2 years old now - she's an absolute firecracker and we wouldn't have it any other way.
RBA has truly been our Godsend! They made it work when nobody else could. We were extremely close to giving up and moving on with our lives, and I'm so glad we came to RBA instead.
