Scott M. Slayden, M.D. is RBA's dedicated procedure MD and has been with RBA caring for fertility patients since January 2001. Originally from Coral Gables, Florida, Dr. Slayden moved to Atlanta and graduated high school from Pace Academy. He obtained a B.S. in Biology from Vanderbilt University in 1985, where he originally planned to obtain a Ph.D in marine biology and reproductive physiology. Experiences gained during his job as an undergraduate research assistant at the newly formed Vanderbilt IVF program eventually changed this plan, leading to a true calling and career in reproductive medicine. Dr. Slayden obtained his M.D. in 1990 from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Slayden cares for RBA patients at critical points in their journey to parenthood: attending to patients pre-operatively, in the operating room and after egg retrieval, and performing embryo transfers with expertise and care.
